Calvin is the VP of Finance at Unusual Ventures, where he makes sure the firm runs as smoothly as the startups it backs. Prior to Unusual, he spent nearly a decade in venture, most recently as a Principal at OVN Capital, and previously as a Founding Principal at Prefix Capital and a GM at 415 Investments. During that stretch, he sourced and closed deals, managed portfolios, and built firm operations from the ground up. In addition to his investing work, Calvin brings firsthand operating experience to Unusual, having served as interim CEO/CFO of Flexpower Health and as Chief of Staff at Productivity Industries. He holds a BS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and lives in the Bay Area with his wife.
