Brett Teele is the Chief Financial Officer at Unusual, where he oversees the firm’s financial strategy, operations, and compliance. Throughout his 25-year career in venture capital and private equity, Brett has supported a wide range of investments, from syndicated real estate partnerships to biotech, enterprise SaaS, and climate solutions – making him especially well-suited to tackle the complexity of scaling a modern venture firm. Before that, Brett worked in public accounting, where he developed a deep appreciation for the foundational systems early-stage companies rely on. He holds a degree from the University of California, Riverside, and lives in Burlingame with his family.
