Ryan is a Vice President at Unusual, focusing on investments in infrastructure software and data tooling. Ryan is excited about working with founders building world-class products targeting highly technical audiences.
Prior to Unusual, Ryan spent five years investing as part of Dell Technologies Capital, predominantly spending his time in and around data infrastructure and machine learning. Before that, he spent time on the data engineering team of Magnetar Capital helping build out their internal stack. Ryan holds a BA in Economics from Northwestern University. Outside of work, Ryan spends his time long-distance running, trying out new coffee shops, and watching the Miami Dolphins.
Unusual is a highly-specialized firm that truly understands what it means to work with early-stage companies and founders. Through the combination of the team's technical backgrounds and the firm's portfolio services catering specifically to the seed stage, Unusual is one of the rare helpful VCs out there. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with great founding teams at the earliest stages of their company journey.
